Duties

  • Conduct legal research and provide a thorough analysis of immigration-related matters.
  • Draft, prepare, and file immigration petitions, applications, and related legal documents.
  • Represent clients in immigration interviews and court hearings.
  • Communicate with clients, colleagues, and government agencies, ensuring clear and effective updates.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files and documentation.
  • Advise clients on various immigration matters, offering strategic solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Keep abreast of changes in immigration law, regulations, and policies to provide informed advice.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, assisting in expanding the firm’s client base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with a state bar.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills to navigate complex immigration issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Client-focused, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active State Bar license (required).
