Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Garden City, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in New York and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial stages.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and argumentation.
• Handle depositions, including taking and defending depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Prepare and argue motions in court, including dispositive and procedural motions.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progression and adherence to deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, discuss case strategies, and answer questions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active attorney license in New York.
• 3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and effectively.
• Strong analytical skills to assess legal issues and formulate strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
