A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Employment and Labor Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in a large or mid-size law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, employment counseling, and transaction work. The role requires excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills, as well as a high level of organization and attention to detail. Candidates must possess superior academic credentials and be admitted to the California Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle employment litigation cases, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other employment-related claims.
  • Provide counseling and advice to clients on a wide range of employment issues, including compliance with federal and state employment laws, employee relations, and risk management.
  • Assist with employment-related transaction work, such as drafting and reviewing employment agreements, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment and labor law issues to support litigation and counseling activities.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop strategies and solutions for clients' employment and labor law needs.
  • Manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsive service.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in employment and labor law, preferably in a large or mid-size law firm.
  • Experience in employment litigation, counseling, and transaction work.
  • Admission to the California Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials.

  • Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
