A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its New York foreclosure department. This full-time remote position requires expertise in mortgage foreclosure litigation and offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception to resolution.

Duties

  • Independently handle mortgage foreclosure cases, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Manage a caseload of foreclosure litigation, consistently meeting all deadlines.
  • Represent clients in various legal settings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal guidance.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow attorneys and legal staff to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing capabilities.
  • Proven track record of managing litigation from inception through trial.
  • Familiarity with LPS/Black Knight and Tempo is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.
