Chemistry Patent Agent

A law firm in New York City, is seeking a Chemistry Patent Agent to work closely with partners, gaining extensive experience in patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and diligence matters. The role offers immediate client interaction and contributes to the firm's stellar reputation in national satisfaction surveys and industry accolades.

Duties:

• Collaborate with partners on patent strategy development.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications in chemistry-related fields such as medicinal chemistry, pharmaceuticals, synthetic methods, polymer science, and drug discovery.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Assist in due diligence investigations.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Chemistry.
• 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

Advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Chemistry.

Certifications:

Patent Agent registration preferred.
