A law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for managing approximately 35-40 files, working closely with at least one paralegal and a team of legal assistants to handle ongoing cases and trial preparations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a heavy workload.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage approximately 35-40 litigation files.
  • Collaborate with a paralegal and legal assistants to support ongoing cases and trial preparations.
  • Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
  • Engage in general discovery practice and motion practice.
  • First chair during trial and provide trial experience.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and opposing counsel.
  • Prioritize client customer service and representation.
  • Maintain professionalism and a team-oriented approach.
  • Utilize case management software, specifically SmartAdvocate® (preferred).
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Trial experience with first chair responsibilities.
  • General litigation and motion practice experience.
  • Fact and expert witness deposition experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SmartAdvocate® (preferred).
  • Bilingual (preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
