A law firm in Edina, MN, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join its construction and commercial litigation practice. Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction and commercial litigation matters, including state and federal cases.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies for complex legal disputes, ensuring ethical and effective case management.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft detailed legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation.
  • Provide courtroom representation, including presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and handling trials.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements as needed.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in laws affecting construction and commercial litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission and active license to practice law in Minnesota.
  • 10+ years of litigation experience, particularly in construction and commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience in handling complex state and federal litigation matters.
  • Experience with construction, insurance coverage, first-party, and property litigation is advantageous.
  • Strong competitive attitude with a track record of successful case management.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
