Immigration Attorney

A well-established law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team. Location:

• Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Duties:

• Explain immigration laws and strategies, providing effective legal solutions.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage and prioritize caseloads while ensuring case progress and client satisfaction.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and modify immigration applications/packets as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
• Meet with potential clients for consultations, determining legal strategies and options.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis to clients on case benefits and potential outcomes.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and drive legal cases forward.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Legal Writing, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in the state of California (or ability to gain admission).

• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and devise effective strategies.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
