A law firm in Charlotte is seeking an E-Discovery Attorney with over 2 years of experience in document review and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, comprehensive knowledge of civil litigation procedures, and substantial experience with e-discovery technology, including Relativity. The candidate will play a crucial role in managing the discovery process in civil litigation and complex investigations.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the e-discovery process in civil litigation and complex investigations.
  • Perform quality control (QC) review to ensure the accuracy and completeness of document reviews.
  • Draft and manage privilege logs, ensuring the appropriate categorization and protection of privileged information.
  • Report on document review metrics and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to develop and implement effective e-discovery strategies.
  • Utilize e-discovery technology, including Relativity, to manage large volumes of electronic data.
  • Stay current on developments in e-discovery law and technology to ensure best practices are applied.
  • Train and lead teams of document reviewers, providing guidance and support throughout the review process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working on document reviews in a team leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of civil litigation procedures and e-discovery processes.
  • Proficiency in e-discovery technology, particularly Relativity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with complex investigations and large-scale civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with additional e-discovery platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
