A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team in Perkasie, PA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in litigation, particularly civil law, and will be eager to manage a varied caseload from initial pleadings to mediation, arbitration, or trial. This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized attorney to contribute to a growing practice, with the potential for hybrid work after 90 days of employment.

Duties

  • Handle civil litigation matters, including but not limited to insurance defense and municipal law.
  • Manage cases from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, and motions, and preparing for hearings.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategies.
  • Perform legal research, utilizing technology, legal databases, and computer/web-based resources.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and updates throughout case progress.
  • Stay current with developments in relevant areas of law and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in civil litigation, with preference given to insurance defense experience.
  • Experience in municipal law or as a judicial law clerk is considered a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
