Criminal Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join its growing team in Las Vegas. The attorney will manage their caseload independently, collaborate with a skilled team of attorneys and legal assistants, and represent clients in various criminal defense matters. Duties

• Provide strategic advice to clients regarding their legal rights and prepare essential legal documents related to their cases.
• Represent clients during pretrial hearings, analyze legal outcomes, and develop case strategies accordingly.
• Handle court appearances, trials, legal research, drafting motions, and interviewing witnesses.
• Analyze case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents to formulate defense strategies.
• Accumulate and organize additional evidence to strengthen clients' cases or challenge prosecution arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions by gathering information from witnesses and key experts to support the defense.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the best outcomes for clients and maintain efficient case management.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years practicing criminal defense law, with experience handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Nevada.

Certifications

• Member in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
