Job Overview: A law firm specializing in environmental and land use law is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team in San Francisco. The role involves handling a variety of regulatory, administrative, transactional, and litigation matters related to land development and environmental issues.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on environmental and land use laws and regulations.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, permits, and other legal documents related to land development and environmental compliance.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings and litigation involving land use issues, including CEQA and NEPA matters.
  • Advise clients on compliance with environmental and air, water, and energy regulations.
  • Assist with real estate transactions, including due diligence and title review.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on land use or environmental matters.
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance and environmental law.
  • Experience with land use litigation, particularly writ of mandate proceedings, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of public lands issues and mining regulations is a plus.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
