Duties:

  • Advise clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Provide strategic guidance on private equity fund structures and transactions.
  • Support clients with capital markets transactions and international tax matters.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis, offering solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax planning and structuring advice.
  • Maintain current knowledge of U.S. tax laws and international tax regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including memoranda and opinions, to support tax positions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in tax law, preferably with exposure to Big 4 tax practices.
  • Strong background in mergers, acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admission to and good standing with the New York or Washington, DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in complex tax research and analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective team player with leadership potential.
