Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Dallas, TX, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Finance team. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on complex financial transactions, including liability management, DIP financings, and bankruptcy exit financings. The ideal candidate will work closely with a global finance team and collaborate with a premier business restructuring group, focusing on top-tier clients such as hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and financial institutions.

Duties:

  • Represent creditors or borrowers in connection with liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special situations financings
  • Work closely with a global finance team and business restructuring specialists
  • Advise clients in high-profile Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex legal issues and develop solutions tailored to clients' needs
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key financing documents and agreements
  • Manage client relationships and collaborate across teams to ensure the smooth execution of transactions
  • Participate in business development and client engagement efforts

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, specifically in restructuring, special situations, or finance
  • Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in bankruptcy or restructuring-related transactions
  • Strong understanding of Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings
  • Proven ability to handle complex transactions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for admission to the Texas Bar)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client management abilities
