Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction litigation and a passion for practicing in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Duties:

• Represent clients in construction litigation matters, handling a wide range of legal disputes
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings
• Provide strategic advice to clients, identifying legal solutions and minimizing risks
• Manage cases from inception through trial, ensuring effective case preparation and presentation
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys, supporting the collective success of the firm’s litigation group
• Participate in client meetings, settlement negotiations, and other legal proceedings
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships through excellent communication and service

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in construction litigation or a related field
• Strong academic background with a preference for the top 25% class ranking
• Exceptional writing and legal research skills
• Proven ability to manage and represent clients in complex litigation matters
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar

• Expertise in construction litigation and dispute resolution
