Litigation Counsel for Orlando Office

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a talented Litigation Counsel with experience in probate, trust, and commercial litigation. Duties:

• Litigate cases related to probate, trust, and commercial disputes.
• Handle all aspects of probate and trust litigation, as well as commercial litigation.
• Develop and implement strategic case plans.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions related to assigned cases.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and reports on case progress.
• Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to develop comprehensive legal strategies.
• Utilize technology and case management systems to ensure efficient case management and communication.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for court hearings and trials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling probate, trust litigation, and/or commercial litigation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on client responsiveness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with other attorneys on case strategies.
• Technologically confident, with experience using case management systems.
• Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Knowledge of Caret/ZolaSuite is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills, particularly in probate, trust, and commercial cases.
• Effective communication and client relationship management.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proficient in legal research, writing, and courtroom presentation.
• Familiarity with case management software and willingness to learn new technology tools.
