Duties:

  • Identify and strategize immigration relief options for clients.
  • Represent and advocate for clients in complex immigration matters.
  • Prepare clients for and attend USCIS interviews.
  • Provide leadership, support, and training to paralegals and non-lawyer staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical obligations for non-lawyer team members.
  • Review and edit immigration applications and supporting documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations.
  • Offer strategic insight on case processing and work to improve legal processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney.
  • Experience working with and supervising non-lawyer staff.
  • Advocacy-driven approach to client representation.
  • Strong leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in immigration law, particularly family and humanitarian cases.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
