A growing law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its expanding team and assist in managing workers' compensation files at the soon-to-be-opened Bay Area office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including depositions, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Trial experience is a plus but not required. The position offers a collaborative environment with support staff provided.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage workers' compensation files from start to finish with support staff.
  • Handle depositions and work closely with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Provide legal advice on workers' compensation claims.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle a full caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Friendly, professional, and flexible demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Strong experience with workers' compensation claims and depositions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research, document preparation, and case management.
  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
