Job Overview:

Location:

  • Gainesville, FL

Duties:

  • Handle insurance defense cases in various practice areas including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking.
  • Explore and implement early resolution strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case progress.
  • Participate in trial preparation, including motions, case management, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to develop case strategies and early resolution opportunities.
  • Participate in training, mentoring, and roundtable discussions aimed at improving legal skills.
  • Utilize technology and case management systems to ensure efficient and effective case handling.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and build a professional network with the assistance of the firm's Client Development team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
  • Proven experience in areas such as General Liability, Bodily Injury, First Party Property, and related practice areas.
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational, time management, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Comfortable using case management systems and other technology to streamline workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards in billing practices.
  • A proactive approach to case handling, with a focus on achieving early resolution when possible.
  • Knowledge of AIM/Perfect Law is a plus.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Florida Bar.

  • Expertise in insurance defense litigation and case management.
