A law firm seeks a Senior Real Estate Attorney to join its North Hollywood, CA office in a hybrid work setting. This role offers an opportunity to represent clients in real estate-related legal matters, including litigation, document drafting, and legal transactions. The successful candidate will have experience in real estate, construction, and landlord/tenant law and will be responsible for advising clients and handling various legal proceedings. The position also offers a flexible work schedule and opportunities for growth within the firm.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies on real estate and construction matters.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, motions, and other legal filings.
  • Handle law and motion practice related to real estate disputes.
  • Negotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving legal disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Perform administrative and management functions in the practice of law.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing legal counsel.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in real estate, construction, and/or landlord/tenant law.
  • Familiarity with California civil procedure and legal processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A real estate broker license is a plus.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney, admitted to practice in California.
  • A real estate broker license is a plus.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate law, including construction and landlord/tenant issues.
  • Proficient in legal drafting, legal research, and case management.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • High-level organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
