Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a motivated and organized Personal Injury Attorney with 2 to 5 years of general defense or plaintiff litigation experience. Location:

• Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duties:

• Handle litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution.
• Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations.
• Negotiate on behalf of clients and draft legal documents including contracts.
• Attend court hearings and trials, prepare pleadings and letters.
• Manage discovery, including handling discovery requests, responses, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions, as well as interact directly with clients.
• Draft motions, responses, and filings in state and federal court cases.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with the team.
• Investigate facts with a creative and practical approach.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in handling personal injury litigation matters.
• Active and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, organized, and deadline-oriented.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage a litigation docket with a focus on scheduling orders and case strategy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the Florida Bar or another state bar.

Skills:

• Strong personal injury litigation experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with trial preparation and participation.
• Knowledge of discovery processes, motions, and depositions.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and the legal team.
