Duties:

  • Efficiently manage multiple files involving litigation, bankruptcy, evictions, replevins, and other related legal matters.
  • Research and analyze legal regulations and business practices to stay updated on industry changes.
  • Prepare high-quality legal documents, including letters, pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate briefs.
  • Review and guide legal work prepared by paralegal staff.
  • Maintain ethical standards in case management, client communications, and timeliness.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering excellent customer service and regular updates.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, trials, and oral arguments as needed.
  • Conduct intake, case strategy analysis, and prepare legal analysis for new cases.
  • Keep accurate records of billable hours and tasks performed.
  • Stay committed to ongoing professional development, including attending Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses.
  • Assist the Managing Attorney with additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • California Bar license in good standing.
  • 5 years of experience as an associate attorney.
  • Proven experience with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real property law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to address complex legal issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, including Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while providing mentorship and feedback to junior staff.
  • Reliable transportation for court appearances and client meetings as needed.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with California foreclosure statutes and procedures.
