Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation before state and federal courts, as well as federal administrative agencies.
• Handle all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions, and manage expert witnesses.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal tactics.
• Conduct detailed legal research and provide analysis on complex issues.
• Work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Communicate with local counsel and clients regarding case progress.

Requirements:

• Previous litigation experience is preferred.
• MUST have courtroom experience, particularly in Fairfax County and the Northern Virginia area.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• An active member of the Virginia State Bar.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to think critically and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the Virginia State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and research skills.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
