Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including both misdemeanors and felonies.
• Draft legal motions, conduct in-depth research, and prepare pleadings.
• Attend and represent clients at court hearings, trials, arraignments, and plea negotiations.
• Engage in client interviews, offering guidance and maintaining clear communication throughout the legal process.
• Analyze case law, statutes, and evidence to formulate effective defense strategies.
• Negotiate plea agreements with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Participate in jury selection, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Alabama and good standing with the Alabama State Bar.
• Strong interest or experience in criminal defense law.
• Exceptional litigation, negotiation, and trial preparation skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases effectively.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy capabilities.
• A commitment to defending individuals' rights in criminal matters.
• Willingness to travel to various courts across Alabama as required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Alabama Bar License in good standing.
