A law firm located in San Francisco, CA is seeking a skilled and motivated Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of academic achievement, solid large law firm experience in real estate finance law, and exceptional writing and communication skills. The role involves handling complex commercial real estate finance transactions and requires a strong background in loan origination, asset management, and workout experience.

Duties:

  • Manage and execute real estate finance transactions on behalf of lenders, including loan origination, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity.
  • Oversee transactions from inception through closing and post-closing phases.
  • Handle secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
  • Provide legal support for structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
  • Assist in asset management and workout processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to real estate finance.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate finance law at a large law firm.
  • Proven experience with loan origination, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Experience with asset management and workout processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
  • Strong background in secondary market repurchase facility work and exit strategies.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in California is required.
