Job Title: Trial Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm located in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated and driven Trial Litigation Attorney to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to handle your caseload, work closely with highly skilled attorneys, and gain valuable courtroom experience. Duties:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, as well as defend depositions when necessary
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses to strengthen cases
  • Investigate and analyze case facts in the field
  • Develop legal strategies and build strong cases from start to trial
  • Manage a personal caseload with the freedom to make key decisions
  • Assist lead attorneys in trial preparations and other key legal activities
  • Engage with clients and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals and legal staff for thorough case management

Requirements:

  • Active NC Bar Licensure
  • Ability to litigate cases primarily in Charlotte and central to western North Carolina
  • Experience as first or second chair in trial
  • Proficiency in legal discovery and case preparation
  • Prior experience in arguing motions and taking or defending depositions
  • Background in plaintiffs’ counsel work is an advantage

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina

Skills:

  • Strong courtroom and litigation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in collaborating within a team-oriented environment
