Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation practice group. The firm offers an opportunity to handle complex, high-stakes cases related to insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in insurance law, particularly in professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance policies, along with experience managing litigation processes from start to finish.

Duties:

• Manage and litigate insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes, including high-exposure matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Oversee all aspects of discovery, including document review, depositions, and discovery motion practice.
• Handle court appearances and represent clients effectively.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop case strategies.
• Take part in business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
• Independently manage cases with minimal supervision while also being a collaborative team member.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Proven track record in drafting and filing pleadings, dispositive motions, and handling discovery.
• Experience in depositions and court appearances.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases and clients independently.
• Strong research and writing skills, with an ability to articulate complex legal arguments clearly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar in North Carolina.
