Job Title: Real Estate Attorney

Job Overview

A Philadelphia-based law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Real Estate Finance Group. This role involves comprehensive legal support in real estate transactions, particularly focused on drafting, negotiation, and due diligence for acquisition, construction, and mezzanine loan documentation.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate loan documents for various real estate financing types, including acquisition, construction, and mezzanine loans.
  • Conduct due diligence and assess legal risks associated with financing transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to support clients' financing needs across a range of real estate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local and regional legal standards within Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in real estate financing.
  • Active Bar admission in PA, NJ, and/or CT.
  • Proven ability to manage complex real estate finance transactions with high attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to the Bar in at least one of the following states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Connecticut.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal drafting, particularly for loan and real estate financing documents.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting due diligence and identifying legal risks.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
