Job Overview:

The Complex Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial and securities litigation matters. They will collaborate with partners and senior associates, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of complex commercial and securities litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in case strategy development and case management meetings.
  • Stay updated on legal developments, court decisions, and regulations relevant to complex commercial and securities litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and securities litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
