Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and legal matters.
• Draft and prepare legal documents related to criminal cases.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, offering strategic guidance after each session.
• Manage all aspects of court appearances, trials, and legal proceedings.
• Draft motions, conduct witness interviews, and perform in-depth legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and current case facts.
• Handle and organize a substantial caseload efficiently, ensuring thorough attention to each case.
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen the client's position or challenge the prosecution’s claims.
• Assist clients with deposition preparation, outlining critical case strategies, and gathering relevant information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense, including managing complex state, local, and federal cases.
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes cases in criminal law, particularly in federal court.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to collaborate and strategize with other legal professionals.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism in client interactions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in California (or the ability to become admitted).
