As an Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, working closely with senior attorneys and legal assistants to represent clients and manage caseloads.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and obligations, preparing relevant legal documents.
• Attend pretrial hearings, offer strategic advice to clients, and assess the implications of each hearing.
• Oversee court appearances, trial preparation, and the drafting of motions.
• Interview witnesses and perform legal research to build a strong defense.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and applicable laws.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring consistent communication and client updates.
• Advise clients on potential case strategies and benefits.
• Gather and analyze evidence to support case arguments and challenge prosecution claims.
• Assist in preparing clients for depositions and engage with experts to strengthen case positions.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in criminal defense law through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active admission to the bar (or pending admission, for recent graduates).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and providing mutual support.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capacity to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in the state of Nevada (pending admission will also be considered).

Skills:
