Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Associate Attorney to join their team. Experience as 1st or 2nd chair in trials is preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances, depositions, and arbitration.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support case strategies.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate client interactions and case development records.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients based on a thorough analysis of their cases.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior attorneys and staff.
  • Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm’s practice areas.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Florida.
  • Experience in legal practice, preferably within a similar legal environment.
  • Proven track record of handling complex cases and delivering favorable outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as 1st or 2nd chair in trials.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
