Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of experience handling first-party property defense and/or casualty/liability defense matters. The ideal candidate must possess a Florida Bar license and demonstrate strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.

Duties:

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal transactions.
• Manage a caseload from inception to resolution, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings and advise clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex litigation matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• An active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• 2-6 years of experience in first-party property defense and/or casualty/liability defense matters.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar license.
