Litigation Practice Attorney

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Litigation Practice Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to focus on financial services litigation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney to handle complex litigation matters, including drafting and arguing various motions, with significant in-court experience. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all stages of litigation and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in bankruptcy or class action litigation is a plus, though not required. This role is based in New York but offers flexibility for candidates based in surrounding regions.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of litigation, focusing on financial services matters, from initial case preparation to trial.
• Draft and argue motions related to discovery, dispositive motions, and requests for injunctive relief.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding litigation risks and solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth case management and timely resolution.
• Maintain a strong focus on client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
• Keep current on relevant legal developments and case law, particularly in financial services, bankruptcy, and class actions.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of litigation experience, particularly in financial services matters.
• Extensive in-court experience, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience in bankruptcy and class action litigation is a plus, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex cases.
• Ability to work independently, while also being an effective team player.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in New Jersey and New York, or New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
• Admission in all three jurisdictions (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania) is preferred.
