A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a seasoned Special Counsel with extensive experience in wage and hour compliance and litigation. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of specialized experience in this area and be licensed to practice law in Colorado. This role requires a highly skilled attorney with a deep understanding of wage and hour laws, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal counsel to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation in wage and hour compliance matters, including advising clients on regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Manage and oversee complex wage and hour litigation cases, including developing case strategies, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and address wage and hour issues, including conducting audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and seminars for clients on wage and hour issues and compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, providing guidance on case management and legal procedures.
  • Stay informed on changes in wage and hour laws and regulations, and advise clients on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts by participating in client development, marketing activities, and thought leadership.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in wage and hour compliance and litigation.
  • Bar Admission: Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.
  • Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of wage and hour laws and regulations.
    • Strong litigation skills with experience managing complex cases.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
