A law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Alcohol and Distribution Associate Attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alcohol beverage law, regulatory experience, and commercial corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and complex projects.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on alcohol beverage regulations and compliance matters
  • Assist clients with licensing, distribution, and regulatory approvals
  • Advise on mergers and acquisitions within the alcohol beverage industry
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Represent clients in regulatory hearings and proceedings
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage legal risks and ensure compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in the law

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law
  • Related regulatory experience (e.g., FDA/food) is also considered
  • Commercial corporate background with mergers and acquisitions experience
  • Proven ability to independently manage matters or significant segments of large/complex cases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload with competing demands and work well under pressure
  • Good judgment and practical advice/analysis based on risk assessment
  • Admitted to practice law in Florida

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
