Antitrust/Competition Associate

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Antitrust/Competition Associate to join their New York office. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in handling complex antitrust matters, including second request investigations and merger litigation. Candidates with experience working with regulatory agencies such as the FTC and DOJ are highly preferred. The role offers exposure to challenging and high-profile transactions and investigations, with opportunities to work on matters involving regulatory scrutiny and state-level enforcement.

Duties:

• Provide strategic legal counsel on antitrust and competition issues, including merger investigations and litigation.
• Manage complex investigations, especially those involving the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general.
• Represent clients in antitrust matters, including advising on compliance and regulatory concerns.
• Draft and review legal documents, including filings for second requests and other regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and solutions to address regulatory challenges.
• Engage in litigation against regulatory agencies, defending clients' interests in high-stakes competition matters.
• Stay informed on developments in antitrust law and policy to advise clients on emerging trends and risks.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in antitrust law or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in handling second request investigations or merger litigation.
• Familiarity with FTC and DOJ procedures and antitrust regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York.
