Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload of business and commercial bankruptcy cases.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients involved in high-stakes bankruptcy proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlements.
• Negotiate settlements and handle legal correspondence with opposing parties.
• Maintain and develop a book of business, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff within the firm.
• Stay current on bankruptcy law developments and trends to effectively advocate for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law, with a focus on creditor-side representation.
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes, complex bankruptcy cases.
• Strong track record of managing a caseload independently.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Effective negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships within the Houston legal community, particularly within the bankruptcy bar.
• Willingness to grow and develop a portable book of business.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
