Job Overview
A law firm in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bankruptcy Associate Attorney. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in default services, creditor’s rights, and bankruptcy law. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling bankruptcy matters, attending court hearings, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specific state bankruptcy changes.

Duties

  • Review and sign legal documents and pleadings
  • Draft and execute legal documents and conduct legal research
  • Attend court hearings and handle various bankruptcy-related matters
  • Keep clients and the firm informed on state-specific bankruptcy regulations and updates
  • Perform other assigned legal tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Current bar membership in good standing in Ohio and Kentucky
  • Admission to bankruptcy courts in Ohio and Kentucky (admission in Indiana is a plus)
  • Ability to handle legal issues practically and efficiently
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to relevant bar associations

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky
  • Additional certification in Indiana bankruptcy courts is a plus
