International Trade Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an International Trade Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office. The International Trade Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling U.S. international trade and trade remedy matters, including anti-dumping/countervailing duty (AD-CVD), safeguard, customs, Section 232, Section 301, and UFLPA issues.

Job Details:

• Superior communication and writing skills required.
• Strong analytical skills necessary for legal research and case analysis.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience handling U.S. international trade and trade remedy matters such as AD-CVD, safeguard, customs, Section 232, Section 301, and UFLPA.

Skills:

• Excellent legal research skills.
• Ability to analyze complex trade-related issues.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of relevant international trade laws and regulations.
• Experience with litigation and administrative proceedings related to international trade matters is preferred.

This nearly 200 year old firm does a lot of complex and interesting regulatory and litigation work on all four continents with offices both on the American and european continents. On occasion, this firm takes a role in high profile investigations work out of its DC office.
