Job Overview: A recruiting firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney on behalf of a well-established full-service business law firm based in Northern California. The successful candidate will have over 5 years of experience handling a wide range of employment law matters, including wage and hour litigation, class actions, and wrongful termination cases. This role offers the opportunity to counsel clients on compliance issues and represent them in both state and federal courts.

Duties:

  • Provide counsel to clients on wage laws, leave policies, compliance (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), and employment-related disputes.
  • Litigate wage and hour, class action, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Prepare responsive pleadings, engage in motion practice, and respond to discovery requests.
  • Respond to administrative charges and represent clients in front of governmental agencies.
  • Develop and implement employment policies, conduct compliance training, and manage pre-litigation disputes.
  • Travel to client sites and work across multiple counties as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive management of cases and client matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in employment law litigation and counseling.
  • Extensive experience in wage and hour disputes, class actions, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Proven ability to manage motion practice, respond to discovery, and prepare responsive pleadings.
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and across firm office locations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:
