Property and Casualty Insurance Associate Attorney

A law firm in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Property and Casualty Insurance Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance coverage issues and litigation. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, demonstrated writing skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Details:

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues related to property and casualty insurance.
• Handle insurance litigation matters including coverage disputes, property damage claims, and personal injury claims.
• Research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and achieve client objectives.
• Conduct legal research on complex insurance law issues and stay updated on relevant case law and statutes.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.
• Manage a caseload independently while also collaborating with team members on larger cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on insurance-related matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in Florida or eligibility for admission.
• 2-6 years of experience in insurance litigation, specifically in property and casualty insurance.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues; experience with bad faith insurance issues preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials with demonstrated writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with federal or state appellate clerkships is a plus.
