A law firm in Seattle, WA is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will gain comprehensive experience in trial preparation and trial, working alongside seasoned litigators. This position requires an active Washington Bar license and 2-6 years of litigation experience.

 

Duties:

  • Engage in all stages of trial preparation from start to finish, including strategy discussions, discovery, records review, client interviews, and witness preparation.
  • Conduct research into complex litigation areas to support case development.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare and argue motions in court.
  • Collaborate with experienced litigators to develop and implement trial strategies.
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Attend court appearances and represent clients in legal proceedings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a Washington licensed attorney.
  • Minimum of 2-6 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Ability to take and defend depositions.
  • Proficiency in trial preparation, including strategy discussion, discovery, records review, client interviews, and witness preparation.
  • Ability to prepare and argue motions effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of experienced litigators.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active Washington Bar license (required).
