A law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Defense Litigation/Nursing Home Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The selected candidate will focus primarily on nursing home defense and medical malpractice cases, with opportunities to handle tort and other liability matters. Strong written communication skills and admission to the Florida Bar are prerequisites for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Manage nursing home defense and medical malpractice cases as the primary responsibility.
  • Handle various aspects of tort and other liability matters as required.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience in nursing home defense, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and/or tort litigation.
  • Strong written communication skills.

 

Education:
