Senior Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage a caseload of approximately 50 cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation and demonstrate a successful track record of settlements and verdicts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation for approximately 50 personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Conducted mediations and negotiated settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Prepare for and handle jury trials as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in personal injury law.
• Attend court hearings and argue motions when required.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and good standing.
• Experience in personal injury litigation, with a focus on representing plaintiffs.
• Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with complex personal injury cases, including catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Ability to fluently communicate in Spanish (desired but not required).
