A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney to join its team in Antioch, CA. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in probate litigation, estate planning, and business law. Duties:

  • Handle probate matters, including conservatorships, guardianships, will and trust litigation, and intestate litigation.
  • Advise clients on estate planning, including trust administration and the drafting of wills and trusts.
  • Represent clients in business establishment and transactional business services.
  • Manage probate and business litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm by fostering relationships and attracting new clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Eligibility to practice law in California.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in probate litigation, business law, or related areas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, web-based resources, and traditional legal software programs.
  • Comfortable working in a start-up environment with a flexible work culture.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar is preferred.
