Associate Attorney Construction Defect Law

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with expertise in construction defect litigation on the defense side to join its Los Angeles office. This full-time position provides a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to engage with a dedicated team in civil litigation.

Duties:

• Manage various phases of construction defect litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
• Prepare and argue motions in court to advocate for client interests.
• Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and representation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure high-quality client representation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side.
• Strong research and writing skills, capable of producing clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with the capacity to work independently as well as within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
