Job Title: Mid-Level Business Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Business Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience handling corporate and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. This opportunity offers hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and the potential for significant professional growth in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in corporate and commercial litigation matters, including M&A, entity governance, contracts, real estate, land use, and bankruptcy.
• Draft and file legal motions, including discovery requests and responses, meet and confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs, settlement agreements, and client reports.
• Engage in routine court appearances and minor motion arguments.
• Take and defend depositions as part of case preparation.
• Collaborate in trial preparation and support trial teams.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
• Participate in business development activities as part of the firm’s growth strategy.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in business litigation.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Strong academic background with demonstrated analytical and writing skills.
• Proven experience in drafting legal documents, preparing for court appearances, and taking depositions.
• Previous experience in a private law firm setting handling corporate litigation matters is preferred.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar membership.

Skills:

• Exceptional writing, verbal, and analytical abilities.
• Strong research skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with client interaction and fostering professional relationships.
• Prior participation in moot court and/or law review is a plus.
