Job Overview:

A dynamic law firm is seeking a Senior Trademark Attorney to join its team in Doylestown, PA. This role involves managing all aspects of trademark and intellectual property cases, from strategy development and litigation to client counseling and contract drafting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about intellectual property law and driven to provide tailored, client-focused solutions.

Location:

  • Doylestown, PA

Duties:

  • Develop and implement litigation and trademark strategies, and communicate them to stakeholders
  • Draft and manage various legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, and IP-related contracts (e.g., NDAs, License Agreements, TOS)
  • Handle federal litigation matters related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, and unfair competition claims
  • Conduct and oversee discovery processes, including developing plans and managing evidence
  • Attend depositions, court appearances, and collaborate with local counsel across the country
  • Conduct trademark analysis, prosecution, clearance searches, and manage trademark registration and enforcement
  • Manage trademark opposition and cancellation cases before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB)
  • Counsel clients on IP enforcement, particularly regarding cease and desist practices, trademark, and copyright matters
  • Provide tailored client guidance on IP protection and identification

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in trademark law, including prosecution and litigation
  • Proven track record with federal IP litigation and TTAB cases from start to finish
  • Strong legal writing skills and commitment to high-quality work
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating IP contracts, including License Agreements, EULAs, and Master Service Agreements
  • Enthusiastic about client engagement and understanding client needs

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the relevant state bar, with preference for admission to the Pennsylvania Bar

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of trademark law and intellectual property litigation
  • Effective legal writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and execute litigation strategies independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and communicate directly and clearly
  • Capability to meet productivity goals and manage time effectively
