Litigation Innovation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Litigation Innovation Attorney to enhance practice efficiency and drive technology adoption within the litigation team. This role will focus on digitalizing the practice, implementing best practices, and leveraging resources to improve client service delivery.

Key Duties:

• Develop and implement best practices for utilizing the firm’s resources and technology.
• Lead projects to digitalize practices, including automation and data management.
• Support the firm’s data strategy by tracking matter data and resource usage.
• Serve as a resource for practice-related questions and issues.
• Vet, pilot, and onboard new technologies to support legal practice.
• Design matter management workflows, including intake, staffing, and billing compliance.
• Create tailored solutions for reporting, budget tracking, and workflow automation.
• Integrate resources such as firm analytics and litigation technology.
• Improve collaboration with clients and third parties through platform design.
• Maintain and automate knowledge libraries and databases of expertise.
• Collaborate with the Research & Information team to enhance practice content.
• Oversee training and knowledge sharing on technology and client solutions.
• Coordinate AI integration to streamline workflows and service delivery.
• Regularly evaluate legal service efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate with all organizational levels about practice and technology initiatives.
• Develop case studies for marketing and business development purposes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited university and admission to practice in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in a large law firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability in non-standardized situations.
• Familiarity with technology for managing workflows and communications.
• Understanding of knowledge management and project management principles.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI and legal technology.
• Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Flexibility to assist on other projects as needed.
